  3. New Projects • BEL WORKING GROUP • NACSO & VSO Enterprise Support Programme { Business Capacity Building Project within NACSO) • Steering Committee in place ( IRDNC, Rise Namibia, NACOBTA, CRIAA, MET, ROSSING, VSO AND NACSO SECRETARIAT)

NACSO HIV / AIDS WORKPLACE PROGRAMMES / GOVERMENT • NACSO agreement to provide peer education training to three ministries. • Ministry of Environment & Tourism • Agriculture Rural Development • Ministry of Lands & Resettlement Program is funded for three years • NACSO HIV / AIDS unit use NGO peer educators to deliver training • Unit employs one trainer to assist Coordinator with training

  5. FUNDING • RPRP Funding – European Commission • NDT – GRANTED • RISE NAMIBIA- GRANTED • NACOBTA –PROCESS • Rossing Foundation process-process • NNF- GRANTED

Cont’ funding • USAID Funding / LIFE/ PLUS • Funding comes to end March- 2008 • Most grantees signed their grant agreements • Exit strategy required for most grantees in terms of continuation of their activities after USAID Funding • WWF / SARPO Funding • VSO & NACSO funding • GTZ & NACSO HIV / AIDS funding • NACSO PEPFAR Funding

  8. Trainings & Exchange Visits • Australian “ Desert Symposium in North Central Australia” • SIDA fundraising trip with NNF / Private Tour operator • M & E Regional Workshop for the Regional CBNRM Forum

  9. Trainings • Secretariat Coordinator • Nominated to be part of 19 participants attending NGO training leadership workshop in the US • Financial & admin staff receiving computer training through BEL and Financial management training / mentorship through the NNF.

  10. Exchange Visits • Tanzanian Natural Resource and Environment Exchange visit ( 19 people) • Ford Foundation East African Programme on Natural Resources.

  11. Activities for the next 6 months • Finalising NACSO TRUSTFUND registration • Sustainability Workshop • Continue with the implementation of the Communication Strategy for NACSO • Continue to be part of the Regional CBNRM Programme
