Current ID Works and CardLink Requirements • Dedicated workstation required: • OS requirements of your version of ID Works may prevent upgrade or replacement of existing workstation with newer OS • Workstation configuration and card project files are stored locally • Licensing required for each workstation • Dongle required for each workstation • ID Works software upgrades and/or workstation replacement will require card production downtime

Current ID Works and CardLink Requirements • Card printer must be connected to workstation directly via USB cable and configured for use with ID Works locally – no network printing • Supported cameras must also be connected directly to workstation and configured to work with ID Works locally along with appropriate camera plugin

Current ID Works and CardLink Requirements • While using an existing card design can save time and simplify card design, user must still posses proficient knowledge of ID Works Designer to create and edit card designs • New card designs must be added to local configuration files in order for the card stock to be available for selection in CS Gold CardLink

Current ID Works and CardLink Requirements • Entrust DataCard updated ID Works v6.5 to provide Windows 10 compatibility and support of additional camera plugins – there are no plans for any further development • Entrust DataCard & CBORD have an agreement that ID Works will not be sunset until CBORD has released TruCredential for web use; ID Works EOL unknown at this time • DataCard SP55 has been sunset, DataCard SP75 currently scheduled for sunset 10/30/2020

  8. Current ID Works and CardLink Requirements • ID Works will not be supported for use on the web • Card production through WebManager will not be integrated with ID Works

Benefits of Transition to TruCredential • No more dedicated workstation requirement! • TruCredential can be installed and licensed on a single server accessible from the entire network • Projects and data can be managed from a single server but accessed from the entire network • Licensing is centrally managed and required for concurrent operators only • No dongles required • TruCredential software upgrades are performed at one server minimizing impact on card production
