In this task, students will use various strategies to multiply 4-digit and 2-digit numbers by 2 digits. They will work collaboratively in a group to solve a given problem using at least 2 different methods and explain their reasoning for choosing these strategies. The focus is on reasoning abstractly, constructing viable arguments, modeling with mathematics, using appropriate tools strategically, and making use of structure. Students will have 7 minutes to complete the task and present their solutions to the group.
