My Hofstra Portal - IPrint • IPrint allows you to print for your Windows laptop to network printer in first floor 24 hour lab or outside the 24 hour lab in the library. • IPrint Supports Windows XP and Vista but no support for Apple • If not using IPrint, you can use network labs to print • Workaround for Apple Users - Boot camp

Taking Your Final Exams on Computer • Automatically signed up to take exams on computer – can opt out (will be notified on that) • Hofstra Law School was one of the first schools in the country to offer exams on computer using secure exam software. • Over 85% of the entire law school student body took exams on computer in Spring 2007. • Version available for Windows and Apple
Exam Software Training • Mandatory Exam Software Training Classes – Will be Announced Via E-mail of locations and times. • Classes are During Dean’s Hours and late evening sessions as well • If you do not show up to the class, you will not be allowed to take your exam on computer • Poll
Computer Labs/Printing • Two computer labs Library • First Floor 24 Hour Lab • Card swipe access • 18 computers • Network Printers (including IPrint Printer), Standalone Lexis & Westlaw Printers • Lower Level Library Lab • 18 computers • Network Printer, Standalone Lexis/Westlaw printers • Scanners in each Lab • DO NOT INSTALL SOFTWARE ON LAB COMPUTERS

Laptops in the Classroom and Law Library • AC Outlets available at every seat in all the largest classrooms (rooms 308,238,230,205,206 and just about every seat in the Deane Law Library) • Many faculty will limit use of wireless and even laptops in their classes – listed on syllabus or will be announced first day of class.
