  4. Volunteer Applications • Volunteer Applications must be submitted annually to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone. • A Washington State Patrol background check will be conducted for each volunteer • There is a 15-day clearance period before application is approved.

  5. Volunteer Sign-In Sign in and out using HelpCounter, the district-wide electronic sign-in system. Computer is located on the front office counter. Important for security reasons as well as tracking data and hours.

  6. Volunteer Badges • Identify you as an approved person to be working the school. • Must be worn during your entire volunteer time, including field trips. • Badges remain at the school in the designated area in the office.

  7. Things to Remember • School rules and dress code apply to volunteers. • Please use adult/staff restrooms. • Always be within sight or hearing distance of another adult. • Be consistent – Call if you can’t make it. • Protect the privacy of students by not discussing your volunteer experiences.

  8. With help from our volunteers, this is going to be an AWESOME year. Thank you all!
