  2. Tarrant Literacy Coalition Our mission is to establish an organization that is solely devoted to improving the quality and increasing the quantity of literary services in and around Tarrant County.

  3. Happy, educated adults make healthy adults… Literacy skills are a stronger predictor of an individual’s Health status than age, income, employment status, Education level, or racial/ethnic group.

  4. Tarrant LiteracyCoalition The Tarrant Literacy Coalition is affiliated with organizations like Essilor Vision Foundation, Alcon Foundation, Atmos Energy, and others. Reading materials eye glasses are also provided for adults and children.

  10. Texas has slipped from 45th to last among states ranked by percent for citizens as of 2005, aged 25 and older, who have a high school diploma.

  14. The Tarrant Literacy Coalition works with literacy instructors to reach adult literacy and their families. We provide the necessary training, books, and materials needed to help their students succeed.

  16. What would the world be like with better education??? Being able to communicate would help eliminate misunderstanding that could possibly result in crime… If people were more knowledgeable , they would be happier, healthier, more successful, and feel safer in their environment.
