Studies: careful attention to, the critical examination or investigation of any subjects or events.

Geography The study of the earth’s surface: how the land, water, weather, climate and resources affect the people who live there.
History The study of written records from the past.
Archaeology The study of the lives of ancient people by examining excavated artifacts from ancient cities.
Anthropology The study of the origins or beginnings of man, his distribution around the world, characteristics and customs.
Culture The study of the skills and ways of life of a particular group of people.
Sociology The study of people in groups, how they organize their groups and problems they have to solve.
Psychology The study of people’s mind, thoughts and feelings.
Civics The study of citizenship, the rights and duties a person has when they are a member of a group.
Political Science The study of government. (Their Laws, Methods and Organization)
Economics The study of the exchange of wealth. (The production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.)
Philosophy The study of the principles underlying human morals, thought, knowledge and behavior.
Theology The study of religious doctrines and the matter of divinity.
Mythology The study of myths; stories with a historical basis, serving to explain some phenomenon of nature, origin of man, customs, institutions and religious rites of people.
Technology The study of practical arts and applied sciences. A system by which a society provides its members with those things they need or want.
