9. The Challenge of Reaching a 2.9 The average entering Freshman at SDSU has a high school GPA above 3.5 – this Fall the freshman average is 3.73
The average Freshman at SDSU has a 2.62 GPA after the first year (SP2010)
At the end of the Sophomore year students raised to a 2.86 GPA (SP2010) – 74% were able to declare the major
