Mute Swans I observed these swans on Saturday August 1st from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. The swans were at the Stony Point apartment complex. Their habitat is a pond located between different apartment buildings within the complex. Connor Wingo-Reeves
The swans are roaming the lake looking for food. Connor Wingo-Reeves
Here the swans are putting there heads underwater trying to locate food. Connor Wingo-Reeves
In this picture the swans are drinking the water; they stick their heads in the pond and lift their long necks to drink . Connor Wingo-Reeves
The swan closest to you is looking for food, and the other is getting a drink. This is all they did while I watched. Connor Wingo-Reeves
Conclusion I enjoyed observing the Mute Swans. These swans are very unique animals. I learned that swans can use their long necks not only to clean themselves; but also to reach for things in the water and on land. I also was able to observe how graceful swans are while in their habitat. Connor Wingo-Reeves
