Organisation • The training was delivered by Polish experts from: • United Nations Industrial Development Organisation from Warsaw (W. Roman Pawlak, Jerzy Polaczek), • University of Silesia from Katowice (Małgorzata Gajos) • and by experts from European Union countries: • David Baxter – Institute of Energy – Joint Research Centre from The Netherlands • Hans Bothe – Environmental, Energy and Process Invitation Energy Systems from The Netherlands • Arne E. Jorgensen – Danish International Consulting from Denmark). • Three-day training was attended by 24 participants from various domestic and foreign scientific entities as well as service-advisory and industrial companies. Biomass and wastes pyrolysis plant • the technical project of bizonal pyrolyser with dosage equipment, • the technical project of dedusting cyclone, • the technical project of gas utilization equipment with flare, • the support technical project , • the project of control-measuring system. The technical projects of demonstration biomass and wastes pyrolysis plant were work out:

Environmental protection works • Programme of air protection in Silesian province comprising the Silesian agglomeration, Częstochowa agglomeration, and Bielsko - Biała - city zone • Programme of low dust-gas emission abatement through individual heating rationalization in selected pilotage zones. Resulting: transfer of coal and biomass new boilers for individual heating

Clean coal 2003 – Ministry of Economy contracted project • Technologies for coal utilization: • pyrolysis, • coal utilization in power stations, • heat engineering in industry, • municipal and residential heat engineering, • coal processing into liquid products, • smokeless fuels and ecological fuels. • the cards of technology as well as system of economical analysis were have worked out. • System contents : • optimalizing modeling, • fuel and technology efficient study, • macroeconomic rating.
