Learn valuable life lessons from a great father. Work hard, be helpful, learn from every opportunity, and own your mistakes. Change your perspective to improve your life.

Lessons from My Father • I was lucky to have a great Dad that thought me by example • Work hard because that is what will make you stand out • If you want to criticize, do it one on one and offer an alternative solution • Be helpful to everyone (that will set you up as a leader) • Learn everything you can each day and look for opportunities to improve each assignment (The quicker you learn everything about your current Job the more prepared you will be when opportunities come your way) • Own your mistakes (this will make you trustworthy). Nothing worse than someone who blames some one else and cant take responsibility for their actions.
Approach I took • Start each day with a plan (bigger better faster than your peers) • Live in the moment and seize opportunities each day to do something extra ordinary • Taking on extra responsibility is the primary way to prepare for the next opportunity • Accept all opportunities even when no one else will • Step outside your comfort zone to gain experience • Be an employee that helps solve problems and “do not stir up trouble with those around you. • If you criticize do it in a constructive way
Work History • Knotts Berry Farm (16) • Globe Ticket company Warehouseman (18) • OCTD (20) • City of Montebello Maintenance Director (30) • Parsons Brinckerhoff (37) • Purchase pooling (New Capitol Venture Start up) (40) • Started Vehicle Technical Consultants (45)
Our Deepest Fear • “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
