  2. Introduction to OSZ TIEM OSZ TIEM has 2160 students 110 teachers and 20 other staff We train electrical professions in the dual training („Elektroniker“) We train vocational full time students („Assistant for Automation and IT“ and „assistant for Renewable Energy and Energy Management“)

  3. Duration of training The training lasts 3 years (1440 hours per year);organized in school years Work placement in workshops and laboratories of the school mandatory (12 periods per week covering three different subjects) Work placement in company mandatory (6 weeks in third year) Additional diploma: „Fachhochschulreife“- the permit to study at a University of Applied Science

  4. EQF-levels The students start this training after completing 10th grade. That means, that they can be attributed level 3 when starting and level 4 when ending the training.

  5. Involvement of companies The school knows companies from the dual training. Other cooperating companies are the ones that host the students during their work placements. -BMW -BVG (public transport system) -Reemtsma (tobacco company) -Insystems (automation solutions) -Jonas & Redmann ( automated photovoltaics) -Systaic Energy Design-Center

  6. Theoretical and practical classes 1/3 of the training period consists of practical training + six entire weeks in the third year.

  7. Workshops/Laboratories Solar pavilion Metal workshop Electro technical laboratories Automation technique laboratories Laboratories for renewable energy techniques

  8. International Experience YES: Turkey, Spain, Finland, Lithuania, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, United Kingdom

  9. Authorities which need to be asked Full time schooling vocational training -SenBWF Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung Berlin (Regional Ministry of Education) -KMK Kultusministerkonferenz (National board of ministers of Education)

  10. Authorities which need to be asked vocational training in dual system -SenBWF, KMK -Sen IAS -Senatsverwaltung für Integration, Arbeit und Soziales Berlin (Regional Ministry of Integration, Labour and Social Affairs) -BIBB -Bundesinstitut für Berufliche Bildung (Federal Institut for Vocational Training) -Employers (Chambers and Guilds) -Employees (Labour Unions)

  11. AIRE training? OSZ TIEM has a „prototype“ of the AIRE training It will be adapted within the course of the project
