  1. Pink-E-Pie’s Play Palace, Inc. August 2014 August 2014 4th of August Fried Chicken Day-6th Chocolate Day-7th National Lollipop Day-20th Hotdog Day-23rd Aunts & Uncles Day-26th Parents Day-27th Infant News Ms. Melissa For the month of August, we will be doing some painting and exploring different colors. We will also introduce numbers and counting objects. It’s never too early to start. Lastly, we will focus on loving touches and sharing with our friends, while continuing working on our self-help skills. Please remember to dress your children in summer attire as we will be going outside when we can. • What’s Happening? • We need all families to check their child's cubby and make sure they have appropriate extra summer clothes. Some children only have long sleeve shirts and sweatpants. • We are taking donations for shorts, • t-shirts, and underpants, to stock our extra’s bin. If you have any that you would like to get rid of, we would gladly accept them. • We wanted to remind parents that we have a Lost & Found Sock Drawer that is getting pretty full. If you are looking for any missing socks, please feel free to check it out. We apologize that all socks don’t always make it home. Some how, they sometimes grow little legs and run and hide! • Justa reminder that we now except debit and credit cards. Robin is the one able to run them, so when you see her, feel free to have her run your card to pay on your bill! • August Birthdays • Sawyer B. 2nd • Karson 10th • Parents- • We will celebrate all children’s birthdays on August 11th so that no child is forgotten. We will provide cupcakes for the center and your child will go home with a fake tattoo and balloon animal. If you wish to bring something on that Friday, you are more than welcome! • We are still offering the computer parenting classes. Ask Mrs. Robin or • Ms. Leanna for details!

  2. Toddler News • Ms. Desirae • For the month of August, Toddlers will be learning about bugs and camping. We will be looking for different bugs and exploring which ones are okay to touch and which ones to stay away from!! If your little one runs to you asking for bug assistance, know that that was because it’s been drilled in their head this month! We will also have a few water days so please look for a sign posted on the front door soon! We can’t wait to have some fun in the sun!! Pink-E-Pie’s Play Palace, Inc. August 2014 • Notes from Ms. Leanna • If you have any stresses or concerns regarding our center, please fill out a stress buster card located by clock in computer. • Please remember to clock your child in and out everyday. This helps us keep track for billing and food servicing purposes. • Please report any changes to addresses and or phone numbers for home, cell and work. • Please remember that your child’s artwork can be viewed in their art portfolio, located in the lobby. • If you would like us to apply sunscreen to your child, please bring in a labeled bottle. Preschool News Ms. Alexandria Going into August and August, Pre-k is going to be covering a wide array of topics fairly quickly instead of trying to stretch one topic for a month. So the topics we are going to discuss for the next six weeks will be: Camping, Night & Day, The Jungle, Outer Space, All About Me, and Our Five Senses!! Be prepared to have your kiddos talking about a lot of new fun and interesting things!
