Aims and study design of DEGS • Aims are to collect representative data on • the health status, • health-related behaviour, • healthcare and • living conditions of adults residing in Germany who are aged 18 and over. • Panel design • Longitudinal design • Follow up of the Federal Health Survey of 1998 • Cross sectional design • Filled up by a random sample (i.e. younger ages) • Aiming at 7500 participants • 180 sample points • Study time • November 2008 until November 2011
