Research related to SSI – what we know • SSI – students and teachers regard SSI as a goodway of learning • However, what counts as important in SSI is related to what is explored. • If only science knowledge is measured, students’ SSI inquiries will focus only this. • Sometimes teachers report uncertainties in their own knowledge about ethical and societal questions
Research Scientific literacy is: • hard to define and measure, there are different definitions • hard to link school science to situations in daily life What do you need to know to handle different situations in daily life? • Reflect on yourexperiences
