Seeking to provide a forum for the sharing of information and resources in order to educate and promote telemedicine initiatives in this region.
ATALACC MISSION To educate, promote, disseminate, build and apply telemedicine and medical informatics solutions in different political, economic, and social systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.

TELEMEDICINE TRAINING IN LAC • ATALACC telemedicineeducation plan: threeparts, beginingwiththebasics, increasingcomplexity. • Part 1: on line telemedicinecourse: in spanish, english and portugueseversion, wants a verywideaudience (healthpersonnel, technicalsupport), basicconceptswith a final evaluation. Thecontents are underdevelopment, needstofit in theLatinAmericalevelnecessities.
TELEMEDICINE TRAINING IN LAC • Part 2: handson training course, oneweek, ideally in Panama (in themiddle of LatinAmerica). Thepracticalpart of thetheoricalon line course. Needstobeveryusefulforthearea, forpeoplewhoapprovetheon line course. Includetopicsforhealthpersonnel and technicalsupportpersonnel, withfieldvisits.
TELEMEDICINE TRAINING IN LAC • Part 3: visit to high technology centers in US or LatinAmerica for specific trainings (pathology in UA, ophtalmology, communications, networks, simulation labs,...). A tailored visit depends on specific interests.
