History • Seminar in it’s 28th year • Originally a Working Group reporting to TAC • Moved to Texas RE when ERCOT Compliance split off • Seminar Working Group transitioned over to the Texas RE (same members) • Dec 21, 2010 – NOGRR054 Change in Facilitator for the Annual Operations Training Seminar • Seminar Working Group transitioned back to ERCOT (same members)

  3. Jan 19, 2011 OWG Report • On 1/19/11, it was noted that the Texas Reliability Entity (Texas RE), formerly “TRE,” would conduct the Annual Operations Training Seminar in March of 2011. It was also noted that the Training Seminar Working Group is now a working group of Texas RE and that a new Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) group would be formed to assist in planning the training sessions.

Seminar Benefit • The operations training seminar provides a forum for Market Participants to meet and analyze topics and issues related to the operation of the ERCOT System. • Consistency of operations • Low Cost NERC CEHs & System Emergency training hours • Brings value to market participants • Used for Nodal training prior to Nodal implementation
