SMART GOALS • Strategic and Specific • Narrowly focused, high leverage areas; the GAN • Measureable • Use of both formative and summative measures, qualitative as well as quantitative data • Attainable • A manageable stretch from present levels • Serves to inspire rather than discourage • Results Oriented • Goal describes the outcome or result of implementation • Time Bound • Sets a timeframe for accomplishment
