  8. Vocational Qualifications The following is added to the NOS: • Evidence requirements – to prove competence and provide examples of possible evidence/types of evidence that can be used. • Evidence must be: - valid - current - authentic - sufficient - consistent

Steering Committee Sector Employer Validation Group Work Flow NOS Sign-off Occupational Summaries/Functional Maps and NOS Feedback / Revision Review of current Standards and international models of best practice Document knowledge and competences and prepare Occupational Summaries/ Functional Maps Mapping against Imported NOS Identification of gaps / specialisms Develop new Units as appropriate Format NOS into the agreed template Submit NOS for approval Quality Assurance
