History of International Science and Technology Centre Founded in 1992 by the governments of the EU, Japan, the USA and Russia; Canada jointed recently Operations began in 1994 in Moscow ISTC then Ukraine STCU - Activities concern 8 countries of the Commonwealth Independent States plus Ukraine

  3. ISTC/STCU Core objectives • Redirect former MDW scientists • Promote sustainability • Reinforce the transition to the market economy
