My I-Search Question What type of milk yields the best overall taste/texture for homemade ice cream?
Goals • Increase my knowledge in an unknown area of cooking • Explore my creativity in creating new flavors
Overview • Brainstorm new and exciting flavor combinations • Actual making of the ice cream • Reading many different recipes and learning new techniques • Hosting a final party for people to test my flavors
Where? • Ingredients were purchased mostly at Whole Foods, but also Safeway and Top Foods in Redmond • All of the ice cream was made in my kitchen at my home in Redmond

2. Turn on the oven’s broiler and toast one bag of marshmallows until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes. 3. In the food processor, blend the ice cream base with the toasted marshmallows.
4. Freeze the ice cream according to machine’s instructions. 5. Chop about 5 graham crackers in different sized pieces and chunks.
6. Chop a Hershey’s bar into small chunks (or use chocolate chips). 7. In a container, layer the ice cream, graham crackers, and chocolate chunks.
Problems I Faced • No mentor • Unable to get an interview • It would have been a great experience to see the behind the scenes work at an ice cream store • Only one failed ice cream • Sweet Potato ice cream • My mistake-I didn’t refreeze the ice cream bowl

The Future • I probably won’t enter a career concerning ice cream • This will be a fun thing to know how to do with family and friends
