Comparative study between latex and enamel paint By: ASRAF CARIM SALIC JUSTIN ROLAND LIM LEE
The main purpose of this study is to compare the two paint if there is a significant difference and to know what paint is better to use on different surfaces?
Statement of the problem This study will compare the characteristics of the different types of industrial paints in terms of: • Viscosity • Drying time • Chalk resistance • Heat capacity
Sub-problem • Is there a different result if it’s applied on different surfaces? • Will the paint be applied to different types of surfaces?
Scope and limitation The proposed study is limited to compare two types of industrial. Two samples will be prepared with the same amount of paint but of different types and on different surfaces. The researcher will only observe the industrial paint’s viscosity, drying time, heat capacity and chalk resistance. The experiment will be done at the residence of the researcher.
Preparation of the paints . Preparation of ½ liter of Latex and Enamel paint Stirring the prepared ½ liter of latex and enamel The 3 prepared latex but different in brand And the 3 prepared enamel but different in brand

Summary of Findings • This study aims to differentiate types of industrial paint in terms of its uses on different types of surfaces. The data gathered were subjected to different statistical analysis to determine the difference of its characteristics: Heat capacity, viscosity, drying time and chalk resistance.
Conclusion Based on the results, the following conclusions can be made: • Latex paint dry faster than the enamel in the surface of wood and metal • Enamel paint dry faster than latex paint in the surface of metal
The latex paint is more viscous than enamel paint • There is a significant difference between the two types of paint. • Both paints have great resistance in the formation of chalk
Recommendation The researchers recommend the following to help future researchers who want to pursue further studies related to this: • To use other types of industrial paint as the experiment subject in this study. • To use other methods in data gathering.
Recommendation • To add more characteristics like durability. • To add more surfaces to be applied by the paint.
Thank You!!!!
