  1. How Well Do You See?

  2. Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Prov. 29:18)… Meaning? Without God’s word, there is moral and spiritual chaos. The whole of the Christian’s life is about VISION. Isn’t FAITH itself about VISION? (Heb. 11:1/2 Cor. 5:7)- …substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen .

  3. It takes vision to be evangelistic. Things we need to recognize about vision: Vision is the conception of an image and it assists you in knowing where you want to go, but… …vision isn’t enough! “It must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps. We must step up the steps.” (Vaclav Havel) ZIMBABWE Shared vision is crucial for congregational and individual growth

  4. “Vision without action is merely a dream; action without vision just passes the time, vision with action changes the world” (Joel Barker) “A different world cannot be built by indifferent people.” (Peter Marshall) The whole of the Christian’s existence is predicated upon vision, but vision is worthless without taking the appropriate action (1 Jn. 3:17,18). God’s vision? To see man as he was, but more importantly, to see him as to what he could become…

  5. Areas in which we need vision…. It takes vision to see beyond negative and depressing circumstances. …but the child of God must realize that for him or her, NO situation is hopeless because God’s power to deliver is unequaled (1 Cor. 10:13; 2 Pet. 2:4-9)! • Sometimes situations can seem hopeless…

  6. A second area where we need vision is in being able to see souls, not just people (2 Cor. 5:16) The emphasis placed upon the saving of the soul is alluded to in Matt. 10:28 and Mark 8:36,37. Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus saw and met such needs in the lives of those who surrounded Him during his ministry. What then is our reason for being called out?

  7. As a child of God, we must see the soul, the eternal part of man, the part that can be lost (Eph. 2:12) and in peril of entering into the eternity of anguish (Matt. 25:26-30). But we must see souls, before we see people (2 Cor. 5:16)! We are to act as spiritual first responders (Jude 22,23)

  8. Finally, spiritual vision allows us to see beyond the present. A man named Asaph (Psa. 73) was once struggling with spiritual nearsightedness (cf. 2 Pet. 1:9).

  9. With faulty vision, we see things that “aren’t there”… The same spirit of melancholy can affect our vision if we don’t do the proper eye exercises needed to produce clear spiritual vision. Looking to the future allows hope, faith, and grace to not just sustain us in the moment (2 Cor. 12:7-10), but to prepare us properly for our heavenly future. Asaph’s problem (one which he would later admit), was that he had fixed his sight on the physical presence rather than the spiritual future (Psa. 73:17-28)
