Objectives • To ensure stable power supply up to year 2030 • To develop an optimum power development plan through fuel diversification • To give emphasis on coal power development at potential sites 2

Distribution Distribution Entities would prepare their respective distribution plan based on their demand by 2030
Primary Fuel • Development of New Domestic Mining through Formulation of Coal Policy • Securing imported coal • Securing Fossil Fuels (Heavy and Light Oil) • Harnessing Renewable Energy • Introduction of LNG Terminal • Enhancement of Gas Pipeline Network
Nuclear • 4000 MW Nuclear Power by 2030 • 2000 MW Nuclear Power by 2018 at Rooppur • Remaining will be implemented by 2030 • Contract has been signed with Russia for implementation • Fuel supply and waste management is the responsibility of the Russian Technology Provider
Renewable Energy • Renewable Energy Policy envisions: - 5% of total power from renewable sources by 2015 • - 10% of total power from renewable sources by 2020 • 70 MW National Capacity achieved by 2011 • 500 MW Solar Development Program has been adopted to be implemented by 2015
