  1. HOW THE PANDEMIC IS BRINGING CHANGES IN THE INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM WWW.EDUMINATTI.COM

  2. The pandemic of Covid- 19 has prompted a global recognition that our current way of life is ineffective. It has destroyed society as we know it by shattering our perceptions of what is normal. Education is one such key sector where the need for reform has become apparent. The coronavirus’s impacts, and hence its prevention methods, have thrown kids, parents, and instructors’ lives into disarray. The obvious disturbance in education’s “regular” functioning has focused attention on a number of problems that had previously been raised but unresolved. So, what does this global pandemic’s current impact signify for the future of education? The school’s view was altered by the lockdown. With schools closed for months, e-learning rose to prominence all around the globe. Students have been the driving force behind this endeavor, even in developed countries. Teachers jumped on board with the new craze, aiming to get back into the classroom as quickly as possible. In India’s education sector, there has been a paradigm shift in the previous two months. In CBSE Schools in Dehradun, schools and teachers have been obliged to change their teaching methods in order to accommodate e-learning. Many instructors and institutions were hesitant to embrace technology. WWW.EDUMINATTI.COM

  3. STATISTICS RELATED RECENT CHANGES IN INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM DURING PANDEMIC Over 1.5 million schools across India closed down due to the pandemic A switch to large-scale digital education is not possible now. Only 24 per cent house-holds have access to the internet, according to a 2019 government survey. In rural India, the numbers are far lower, with only 4 per cent households having access The education ministry’s budget for digital e-learning was slashed to Rs 469 crore in 2020-21, the year Covid struck—from Rs 604 crore the previous year. In smartphone access, in particular, ASER Rural 2020 Wave 1 revealed a drastic increase in ownership in rural areas from 36.5 percent in 2018 to 61.8 percent in 2020. The pandemic forced families to purchase smartphones for their children’s education— amidst job losses and diminished incomes resulting from COVID- 19’s economic fallout. WWW.EDUMINATTI.COM

  4. FACTORS INFLUENCING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM’S EVOLUTION Many aspects must be examined in order to answer these issues about modernization and efficiency. We’ve found the time to reflect and the direction in which we must apply our efforts, given the time we’ve spent in lockdown and the observations of our quick transition to online learning. We’ve been given the opportunity to not just rethink education but also to envision how it may progress in unison with our changing environment. 1) SHIFT IN THE GOAL OF EDUCATION The way curriculums are taught, and the way students learn may change. According to Boarding Schools in Dehradun, Aspects of schooling that were originally regarded as important may be altered to accommodate future life skills to a significant extent. Resilience, flexibility, teamwork, communication, empathy, creativity, and emotional intelligence will be required not only by future employers but also by future citizens. Learning in schools will have a new purpose, which will be a significant departure from today’s information-focused schooling. 2) INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL METHODS ARE BEING USED Apart from the disturbance caused by the new coronavirus, schooling in our developing world has changed dramatically. Even in the face of fast innovation, however, we have yet to change the way we deliver education. Learning is the process of knowledge, but it does not have to be done entirely through age-old ways that do not take advantage of the brain’s full capacity. Can students be provided an experience that influences their learning instead of being taught? Integrated learning and experiential learning, as well as a larger use of technology, will drive the future of education in schools. WWW.EDUMINATTI.COM

  5. 3) A STRONGER CONNECTION WITH TECHNOLOGY Technology has proven to be a lifeline in the face of a catastrophic pandemic. Communication is a critical component of our interconnected existence, and technology is the engine that keeps us connected. For education, this entails developing content and delivery systems that fully leverage technology. Perhaps education will become more flexible and accessible, allowing us to move away from our current over-reliance on inflexible frameworks. In addition, the current generations of school students are the Alpha and Z generations. They are generations whose use of technology has defined them; it has become an extension of their mind, and they have never known life without it. Technology will have no place in the future of education since it may very well be the ideal platform for empowering learning in an age where technology is becoming a way of life. 4) A FOCUS ON THE BIG PICTURE How will we persuade students to return to a lifestyle that jeopardizes their physical, emotional, and mental well-being? Will we continue to ask youngsters to get up and go to school when their brains aren’t sufficiently active? Tomorrow’s world may require a different focus than today’s. Perhaps, post-Covid-19, education will embrace scientific learning and place a greater emphasis on challenges that threaten our health, society, life, and the environment. Covid-19 could have acted as a catalyst for a long-awaited change. What we will most likely see as a result of this global health crisis is the adoption of techniques that were sought throughout it. Perhaps the world will never be the same as it was before the outbreak. Regardless of what it contains, we can trust it to adapt to the future. WWW.EDUMINATTI.COM
