  2. WHAT IS PUBLIC SPEAKING? Public speaking is the art of addressing the live public vocally through your speech. It is more a formal chit-chat where one speaker and a group of listeners interact face-to-face. It is very obvious to have a fear of indirectly speaking to the public. So before you step onto the stage or podium, make sure that you are well prepared for the session you are supposed to take. The next step is drafting, where you assemble all the raw information and data you have collected. They are just listening to you, and they will not even mention unless you emphasize the mistake through some gesture or apology. Try to look at your audience so that it creates a warm connection, but never look into the eyes of a particular person sitting in the audience; otherwise, you will fumble, panic, or get nervous because your brain will distract and you will lose your focus.
