This project aims to gain a better understanding of the needs of San José teens through surveys and data analysis. The goal is to listen to the community, identify focus areas, and secure grants and fundraising to address these needs. The project involves meeting with both teens and adults, forming new partnerships, and analyzing collected data to develop recommendations. The success of the project will be measured by increased teen involvement, a sense of ownership, more teens visiting the library, and stronger partnerships. The San José Public Library (SJPL) aims to make a difference by adjusting to the needs of teens, always listening, and understanding their position within the teen community and other organizations.
