  5. Today’s students Still need instructors to: • Facilitate learning • Develop higher order thinking skills • Help all students succeed

  6. 21st C learning = student centered learning “By 2019 about 50 percent of high school courses will be delivered online.”

  7. What’s Different About Teaching Online • Structure of curriculum • Use of multiple communication methods and tools • Social dynamic and learning environment • Pace and structure of discussion facilitation • Assessment strategies • Technical challenges • Teaching with technology is a given!
