Cash Liability to Conference • All camp staff are employees of the conference • Payroll processed by accounting office • Conference invoices the camps for payroll • Unpaid invoices for payroll - accrued to $750,000 by January 2009.
Steps That Have Been Taken • Control expenses to the greatest extent possible • Direct donation appeal to Camping Board and Site Committees • EcoEternity Forest • Over $20,000 to date. • Sale of 12 acres + former director’s residence at Gretna Glen • 450,000 • Trustees approved using some funds for needs at camps • Septic system at Gretna Glen • Septic system at Innabah • Wood-burning heating systems at Pocono Plateau. • After these projects + costs of selling home and acreage • Reduced cash liability to conference to $350,000 • 2010 rate increase to base of $380.
