Deconvolved spectrum of two OCS emission lines (gas pressure 1.2 mBar; FFO frequency 625.24 GHz)
Telis TV tests @ SRON • 12.45: SIR is Phase locked. • • 12.45: Start HK recording with TSCU. • • 13.50 – 14.00: Pump tank to 10 mBar, still room temperature. • • 15.00: Cooling of shroud started. Shroud below 0 C at 15.20. Slow process. • • 17.40: Heaters for dewar activated. • • 18.36: Batteries 7 and 8 (+8 V for PLL) die. Loss of PLL. • • 00.50: Batteries 9 and 10 (IF amplifiers) die. • • 01.00: Battery 12 (9V for LSU) dies. • • 01.00: TSCU switched off. • • 01.20: Start heating shroud. • • 01.50: Start pressurizing TV tank. • • 02.00: Deactivate dewar heaters. • • 02.10: End of TV test. • • 10.45: Stop recording 8 external temps.
Progress 2007: Insertion into flight cryostat december 2006 Initial problems with thermal interface and IF cabling solved feb-april (IF and DC cabling) Installation flight window Telis optics aligned, Telis beam pattern measured (final measurements still to be performed) Participated in integration and TV tests (two IMK, one at SRON) Investigate design upgrade of DC-DC converter
Progress 2007 • Pressure regulator tests with Tavco valve at flight pressure (succesfull, 1 mbar variation) • Gas cell measurements: ongoing, mainly DAC testing • Participate in TELIS DAC troubleshooting • Sideband ratio measurements (aim 1%) Bruker FTS June/July started, to be finalised
To do • Upgrade IF/device to improve the IF response (in progress) • Flight rehearsal observations (frequency switching) • Sideband ratio measurements • Stability measurements with other channels • Software check DLR/SRON software • Upgrade battery pack for long duration flight and safety • Finalize SIR control program (esp automated tuning) • Antenna beam pattern.
