Proposal Submissions All proposals must be submitted by OSP Proposal Signature Routing Sheets (PSRSs) must be submitted to OSP at least one business day prior to the sponsors deadline At a minimum, the PSRSs must include signatures of the PI, co-PIs, PI chair and, as appropriate, individuals on campus who are providing cost share funds

Some Reasons for Proposals Not Succeeding • Not responsive to the RFP • Lack of clarity/organization/details • Not advancing the state-of-the-art • Scope/methods are unrealistic • Resources not available
UM Research Board Deadlines • The grant application deadlines for the 2010-2011 academic year are: • October 4, 2010 and February 14, 2011 • The Research Board Meeting dates are: • December 2010 and May 2011 • NOTE: Applications with necessary signatures must be received by OSP 1 business day prior to the deadline date. Late submissions will be held for the next deadline.
