This workshop explores design thinking principles through a design challenge to improve the life of a beginning teacher. Participants will learn how to gain empathy, brainstorm ideas, create prototypes, and present their solutions.

PRACTICE gaining empathy Interview a user & take notes Remember: Don’t judge. Observe & engage users. Have a good conversation. Prompt the person to tell you stories. Talk about feelings. Follow up with ‘why?’ Question everything. Listen.
