Verbal & Nonverbal Communication • Verbal Communication involves use of words & sounds, spoken or written. • Nonverbal Communication occurs without use of words • Includes how a person says something (tone of voice or emphasis of words can change meaning) • Body language(movements, facial expression, posture) reflects attitudes & feelings
