How will I be graded? Classwork/Homework = 25% Projects/Labs = 50% Tests = 25% Total = 100%
Guideline #1 Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bell work when the tardy bell rings.

Guideline #2 Bring ALL materials with you to class and take them with you when you leave.
Guideline #3 Follow directions the First time they are given.
Guideline #4 Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Guideline #5 Follow all school procedures and policies outlined in the front of your planner.
Special Guideline I C ompletely No “I Can’t.” A m N ot T rying Stop.
Following Guidelines will result in: • Verbal acknowledgement. • A stress free learning environment. • A pleasant and orderly classroom atmosphere.
Not following Guidelines: will result in • 1st = Warning and documentation. • 2nd = Infraction notice, bounce to a new seat, Parental contact. • 3rd = Bounce from the room and disciplinary referral.
Severe Clause: Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (including the property of the teacher and other students), or is strongly disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be IMMEDIATELY bounced to another room or office.
Guideline Infraction Notice: • Read It. • Sign It. • Keep it until the end of class.
Entering the Classroom: • Please enter quietly. • Sit in your assigned seat. • Take out your materials. • Begin bellwork procedures.
When you are tardy: • Enter quietly. • Excused: Place note in the basket on the teacher desk. • Unexcused: Sign the lunch detention list at the side of the room. • Sit in your assigned seat and take out materials.
Getting Your Attention: • I will= • Stand in front of the class. • Remain quiet. • Wait for everyone to follow.
Absences: • Excused= • Copy the assignments. • Retrieve any handouts. • Unexcused= • Make-up work during lunch.
Missing Work: • Personal Responsibility Report= • Fill it out. • Sign and date it. • Turn it in with homework papers.
Finishing Classwork Early: • Read a book. • Work on homework. • Organize your binder. • Read textbook. • Work on project.
Scheduled Checkout: • Please let me know as you enter the classroom (I should be at the door). • Quietly raise your hand when it’s time to leave and get my attention. • Pack your materials and leave at the scheduled time. • If it is an emergency, quickly get my attention and I will assist you.
Handing in Papers: • Place your paper on the person’s desk on your left side facing down. • If/when you receive a paper, place yours on top and continue passing the stack to your left. • I will come by and collect all stacks.
Classroom Discussions: • Please participate. • I want to hear what you have to say. • Make questions and comments relevant to the current discussion. • If your question is off topic write it down on a post it and ask later.
Moving Around the Room: • You must ask permission. • Do not ask during a classroom discussion unless it is an emergency.
Class Dismissal: • The teacher dismisses you, not the bell. • Do not start packing up before the bell. • Wait until the teacher is finished and officially dismisses you with: “Have a great day!”
“Special” Procedures: • Library/Media Center. • Distance Learning Lab/Video Conference. • Special Guests. • Progress Reports. • Working Cooperatively. • Fire Drill. • Intercom Announcement. • Assemblies. • Substitute Teacher. These will be introduced on an ‘as needed’ basis.
