4. Attendance is critical • Self-care is important – time management, adequate sleep and eating habits. • Build relationships with your teachers. • Come to class on time, prepared, and pay attention. • Do the classwork – you’ll have less homework – study for tests. • When you don’t know – ask! • Use the resources available! – counselors, teachers, tutoring and I-team – they are all here to ensure your success. How do we get there?

5. Excused absences: medical, court, death in family or exceptional circumstances. • Parents can write Three (3) excused absences per semester. • Procedure for student returning from absence: Turn in excuse note to the attendance office. • Time allowed for Make-up work—2 days to make up work when a class is missed. • Four (4) unexcused absences will result in a failing grade. Student will earn a 59. The student would still be able to pass a class depending upon the exam grade. LMHS Attendance Policy
