What is Sinai famous for ?It is famous for St. Catherine’s Monastery.
A brief idea about St. Catherine’s Monastery. The monastery of St. Catherine stands in the heart of Sinai. It is the oldest working Christian monastery in the world. In the sixth century, the Romans ruled in Egypt and the Emperor Justinian ordered the building of a small chapel beneath an important. Over its 1,400-year history, it developed into a massive fortress with walls from 12 to 60 meters high. These huge walls were built to protect its many treasures.

Tel El-Amarna, the Solar City It lies 50 kilometres south of El-Minya on the east bank of the Nile. The Pharaoh Akhenaton, who worshiped the sun god, built temples and palaces on this site which he intended to be the capital of Egypt. The Siwa Oasis • It is situated 627 kilometres south west of Cairo in the Western Desert, close to the Libyan border. Strangely, Siwa lies in a deep depression 18 meters below sea level. All over this historic oasis you will find natural wells, where bubbles come up from 15 to 20 metres under the ground.
