  1. A Winning Attitude “Pressing Towards the Mark”

  2. Running the Race 1 Cor. 9:24-27 (NIV) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. [25] Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. [26] Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. [27] No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

  3. A Winning Attitude • A winning attitude is one that exhibits the desire, commitment, determination, discipline, focus, and willingness to better one’s self, or to become the best that one can be. A winning attitude does not negate loosing, but to the contrary. A winning attitude dictates that even in defeat, one can find victory.

  4. Destiny You have to be more determined to achieve your destiny than you are afraid of looking bad or failing!

  5. Environment & Transformation A winning attitude is developed in environments where individuals seek to become their best. To become their best, They must challenge themselves personally. • Challenging one’s self, availing one’s self to the arena of healthy competition, is indispensable. • Coaching designed to bring out the best in you is critical if you’re serious about being transformed into what God intends for your life.

  6. Legitimate Desire for More Genesis 3:4-5 (KJV) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

  7. Pushing One’s Self Col. 3:23 (NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 2 Chron. 31:20-21 (NIV) This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. [21] In everything that he undertook in the service of God's temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.

  8. Running with Purpose! Galatians 2:2 (KJV) And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

  9. It’s in Your Attitude! Philip. 3:13-16 (NIV) Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. [15] All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. [16] Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
