Computer Database use in Law Enforcement COS 413 Monique Marquis
Project Description • Outline of various database systems used • Why are they used? • What is their significance?
Outcomes • Searching the WWW was not a problem for this project, there are many different systems used in law enforcement all over the world. • I was able to interview individuals at the Fort Kent Police Department. • I was unable to interview Bill Francis for the probation side of the project.
Lessons Learned • Don’t limit yourself • Begin early (as assigned) • Make appointments if needed • Procrastination is bad • Most all agencies use the same general system (Omnix)
