Basic site information: • Incentives - 5% of municipality of Cazin’s yearly budget • Production of berries, cucumbers, milk and honey. • Resources underutilized • Exponentional potential for growth: • Fruits: strawberries, raspberries, aronia, plums, apples, chestnut, forest mushrooms... • Vegetables: cucumbers gherkins, paprika, potato, onion... • Over 10,000 individual producers • 6 companies in Una-Sana Canton that repurchase fresh fruits and vegetables for export to EU (Germany, Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia...) • Cooling capacities are not available (the fruits and vegetables are sold shortly after harvest)

Shared objective (based on shared interest): Construction of modern cold storage with capacity of 5,000 tons would lead to: • Mitigate storage and logistic capacities shortage, • Stimulate faster fruit growing, • Substitute fruits and vegetables import and create conditions for fresh fruits and vegetables export • Increase employment and income of the citizens, • Cazin as a regional center for storage and distribution of fruits and vegetables
