2. Contest Information For the contest, you should be prepared to compare all types and brands of pizzas.
When reading the nutrition facts label, consider calories, total fat, saturated fat, sodium, fiber, and calcium.
Remember to make sure you pay attention to serving sizes to make accurate comparisons between pizza products.

Look at serving size and nutritional value on nutrition label when comparing cost

Pizzas do not have a uniform serving size. Usually, an individual pizza has a serving size of 1/2 pizza or entire pizza. Larger pizzas often have a serving size of 1/5 pizza.
The nutrition facts label lists all the nutrient amounts based on the serving size.
Pay special attention to serving sizes, especially how many servings there are in the package.

We need 25-38 g of fiber each day so look for pizzas with at least 5 g of fiber per serving
Pizza crust made with whole wheat flour will provide more fiber

The pizza needs to be made with low-fat or part-skim milk cheese to ensure Calcium without high amounts of fat. Read the ingredients!!
