The RAF Association: The Association recognises that RAF personnel and their immediate families dedicate their lives to their country, and to ensure that such a sacrifice does not result in suffering, poverty or loneliness. • Membership organisation & welfare charity • Around 65,000 members worldwide • Homes from Home • Self funding – no MoD/government funding • Last year Wings Appeal raised £1.6 million

  3. How the RAF Association currently supports Cadets: • £5000 a year contribution towards Air Cadet magazine • The Cadet Award – 10 fully funded places to RAF Akrotiri - Cyprus • 2 x 35 hour & 4 x 12 hour – Flying scholarship – Applications for 2014 open in OCTOBER 2013!
