ARS Tables • ARS (Automatic Route Selection) Analysis • Table that tells switch how to route calls based on digits dialed • Dialed String – digits (assumed that 9 has already been dialed) • Total min. – minimum # of digits to route on (1 – Max.) • Total max. – maximum # of digits to route on (Min. – 28) • Rte pat. – Route Pattern 1 – 254 or deny to block call. • Call type – emergency, operator, international • Fnpa – foreign number plan area (toll calls) • Hnpa – home number plan area (local calls) • Svcl – service call (911) • Affects billing in SMDR • Command = Change ars analysis #
Routing Tables • ARS (Automatic Route Selection) Digit conversion • Converts digits that are specifically dialed • Matching pattern – digits • Minimum • Maximum • Delete • Replacement String • Net – ARS/AAR • Conv – allow more conversions or no more conversions • ANI required • Command = Change ars digit-conversion # • Route Pattern table • Group number – trunk group to route call out • Can overflow to 6 different groups • FRL • Delete digits • Insert digits • Defaults • Can only change not add • Command = Change route-pattern #
Routing Tables • AAR (Automatic Alternate Routing Analysis • Just like ARS except used for on-net routing over private network • Dial different access code digit and point to AAR from FAC table • Routing Commands • List ars analysis – shows digits and routes • List ars digit-conversion – shows and digit manipulations • List ars route-chosen (digits) – shows what route a call will take. Assume that 9 has already been dialed. • List aar route-chosen (digits) – shows what on-net route a call will take. Assume aar access digit has been dialed (8) in our case.
