Academic Excellence • We conduct ourselves as student-athletes. • We take advantage of our opportunity to receive a quality high school education. • We realize that our classes and teachers are preparing us for a lifetime of making a difference. • We are aware our coaching staff supports us during times when academics and athletics conflict.
Unselfish • Our focus is on what is BEST FOR THE TEAM • The decisions we make are no longer about ourselves, they are about the team.
Respect • We respect ourselves. We are confident in our individual abilities. • We respect our teammates and are confident in their abilities to finish the job. We also accept their encouragement and constructive criticism. • We respect our coaches and all of the decisions they make, whether or not we are in agreement. • We buy into the system, knowing each decision made is with the success and best-interest of the team in mind. • We respect every team we face. We fear no team. We take no team for granted. • We respect the game of baseball.
Accountability • We hold each other accountable both on and off the field. • We expect the best and get the best out of each other • We give 100% all of the time. We work hard to make ourselves and our teammates better. • We are committed to constant improvement. We view every team event, practice, and game as a chance to learn something new as an individual and improve as a team. • Our effort and determination are a constant. These are two areas that we can always control.
Every player plays an essential role to the success of the team. It is our responsibility to fill that role whether we play 7 innings, 2 innings or don’t enter the game. • Whether we recognize it or not, we are observed as role models. • We expect ourselves and one another to represent our team in a positive manner.
Unity • We win and lose as a team. • While we may encounter many obstacles throughout the season, we will never fail to persevere as a team. • We are a family and a constant source of encouragement and support for one another. • We are united by our commitment to succeed both on and off the field. • We take pride in being a team that others want to emulate.
