On the third day he painted for 9¼ hours. How many more hours of painting are required for the painter to complete the job? 34 – (6½ + 4¼ + 9¼) 34 – (20) 14 hours be sure to label properly
Fractions and Proportions • If a seamstress has a rectangular piece of cloth that measures 2½ yards by 3½ yards and she cuts out a piece that measures 1½ yards by 1¼ yards, how many square yards remain left over?
