HHS Tardy Policy • 1st Class Tardy = Teacher Warning • 2nd Class Tardy= 20 minutes of Detention • 3rd Class Tardy = 40 minutes of Detention • 4th Class Tardy = 60 minutes of Detention • 5th Class Tardy = 1 Day of ICE • 6th Class Tardy = 1 Days of ICE & Parent Conference • 7th Class Tardy = 2 Days of ICE & Parent Conference Again • 8th Class Tardy = 1 Day of Suspension • 9th Class Tardy = 2 Days of Suspension • 10th Class Tardy = Recommended Alternative Placement **If a student misses 10 minutes or more from your class, that student should be written up for Skipping.
HHS Level 1 Behaviors Misbehavior that DOES NOT require administrative involvement because the teacher: • Observes the behavior Corrects the behavior • Continues with instruction • Examples: minor disrespect, minor disruptions, off-task behavior, incomplete assignments, dress code (1-2 times), no supplies
HHS Level 2 Behaviors Misbehaviors that DO NOTrequire immediate administrative involvement, but do require documentation because the observing staff member sees these behaviors as disrupting the learning environment. Examples may include: • Minor Class Disruption • Horseplay that has been corrected • Refusal to Follow Directions • Skipping Class • Repeated Dress Code Violation ****These behaviors result in a Referral****
HHS Level 3 Behaviors Non Negotiable Level 3 Behaviors • Arson • Tobacco Usage • Drugs (includes look-a-like drugs) • Weapons (includes look-a-like weapons) • Theft • Fighting • Assault • Intimidation and/or harassment • Defiant behavior that is persistent and sustained • Bullying ( Includes cyber) • Inappropriate sexual conduct • Disrespect directed toward teacher ****Results in a behavioral referral and removal from classroom or situation immediately****
