Con Edison History • 1980 – Converted 20 vehicle to CNG dual-fuel • 1982 – Rye Station began operating • 1991 to 1995 – 8 additional stations went into service • 1989 to 1995 – Con Edison had largest dedicated CNG fleet in North America – 455 NGVs. • 1996 to 1997 – 300 NGV taxi’s were fueling throughout our 9 stations • 1999 – OEMs exhausted funding for CNG development • 2009 to Present – Reintroduced NGVs

Benefits of NGVs • Meets D.O.E. Environmental Policy Act of 1992: - To reduce petroleum usage for new vehicle purchases • Savings $1.50/GGE (CNG = $2.55/GGE vs. Petro = $4.05-$4.40/GGE): - Car = $600/yr saving - Cargo Van = $1,500/yr saving - Stepvan = $2,775/yr saving - Federal tax credits to offset incremental cost for CNG option ranging from $4,000 to $25,000/vehicle • Reduction of greenhouse gases
