  3. What is the Diploma of VET? Consists of 6 core plus 4 electiveunits The core units are: • TAEASS501A Provide advanced assessment practice • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools • TAEDEL502A Provide advanced facilitation practice • TAEDES501A Design and develop learning strategies • TAELLN401AAddress adult language, literacy and numeracy skills • TAEPDD501A Maintain and enhance professional practice

  4. What is the Diploma of Training Design and Development? Consists of 5 core and 5 electiveunits The core units are: • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools • TAEDES501A Design and develop learning strategies • TAEDES502A Design and develop learning resources • TAEDES505A Evaluate a training program • TAETAS501B Undertake organisational training needs analysis

  5. What is the Practicum? The ‘practicum’ consists of 3 core units in the Diploma of VET

  7. Improving VET workforce capacity in LLN By June 2014: • TAELLN401A will be in the core of the Certificate IV • TAELLN501B will be in the core of the Diploma of VET

  8. A capability framework for the VET workforce • The Productivity Commission in its report on the VET workforce has asked IBSA to develop the TAE10 TP so that it reflects a full capability framework for the workforce. • IBSA will:
