Six full-time employees VEQ organized happy hours, coordinated bus transportation and supported community initiatives such as the Literacy Day to foster sense of belonging in the English-speaking community Facilitate the implementation of interesting initiatives such as the Junior Achievers’ Economic for Success program in our local English high schools Participated in the first St. Patrick’s Day parade in over 80 years by handing out candy and balloons to the crowd. VEQ hosted five successful Finding Your Niche networking and information sessions for newcomers Organized an additional Winds of Change Workshop thanks to the support of the CHSSN The VEQ Leadership Table met once again with politicians from various political parties to present the priorities and challenges of our community Successful Job Bank: over 150 employment positions posted during the year Executive Director’s Message | May, 27, 2010.
