EPA’s Proposed Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) Rule • Published: June 21, 2010 in Federal Register • Public Comment Period: Open until November 19, 2010 • Final Rule Timeline: Not yet established • Beneficial uses of CCRs in encapsulated form (concrete, wallboard, etc.) are encouraged and exempted • Three regulatory options proposed: • Subtitle C – Hazardous Waste • Subtitle D – Non-hazardous Waste • Subtitle D’
