Economic Competitiveness Package (ECP) • Customs Service with high performance has a positive impact on economic competitiveness through trade facilitation • Transparent and Predictable Customs environment will encourage direct investment and the establishment of industrial facilities and logistics hubs • WCO existing instruments and tools and some new tools in the ECP • Implementing the ECP to assist countries in improving the external environment of their trading community and ultimately boosting trade
Revised Kyoto Convention (RKC) • International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures • International blueprint for making Customs regulatory procedures as facilitative as possible • Providing a set of comprehensive Customs procedures to facilitate legitimate trade while ensuring the effective Customs control • Key principles: predictability, transparency, due process, maximum use of information technology, and modern Customs techniques • Eliminating divergence between Customs procedures and practices of Contracting countries
